To win the championship. More from Progressive Field on some of the performances that made it possible. Reporter a chilly start here at Progressive Field as we set our sites on the game two of the world series. As for game one, the indians ace and an unlikely hear stealing the show. Former cy young winner setting the tone on the mound. Ed minimum amount of batters a pitcher is face is nine and he did just that striking out eight of those nine. Strikeouts for the game and at the plate Roberto Perez followed seutd. A laze tore left. And then in the 8th with two runners on he gets another one and its the same result. Knocks in four of the six runs and afterwards saying the difference for him is just playing with confidence. Trying to duothere and compete and try to get good abs up there and get on that Trevor Bowers finger has healed up nicely. He will start tonights game two. Back to you guys. An suv crashes into the wall of a building on beacon hill and two people had to be rushed to the hospital as a result. Crews were there and trying to figure out whether that neighborhoods safe. Lets get out to Kimberly Bookman with what with know right now. Yeah, we are live on grope street. A suspect came here, trying to remove that suv from the wallet. This happened about an hour or so ago. And what we know from grope street and according to witnesses going at a high rate of speed all the way to the top, right past the crosssection of myrtle street. There is a wall here at the ends of that street and right folks it is a garage. It appears that that car could have tried to get into the garage or didnt know where they were going but ran right into the wall. That impact caused all of the bricks from the wall to fall to the ground. It does look like that wall is doesnt look like its stabilizing any of the exterior buildings but it is at end of the streak here. Right now
That suv slammed right into a wall that was holding up a pantry. You can see now what is left behind here at this hour. And we do understand that no one was here at the time in that house, which is the good news heres. Fire 15s tell us they believe the suv was involved in some kind of a hit and run maybe near cambridge street, and then drove up on grove street all the way to the end, right before witnesses say the suv was speeding, some say they were going about 70 Miles Per Hour when it hit this hall this wall here at the home. And then all of these bricks began to fall. Now both the driver and the passenger that were in that suv were taken by ambulance. We were told that they were both alert and conscious. I seen a white car flying up here. Flying up here, doing like 70 with no brakes. Smack into the wall. So it wasnt as if they were trying to get into a garage, it something. When we first got here, there were two people within the vehicle that was actually against the structure over
Reopened. As you see there are fans here clearing out what remains of the smoke. The fire broke out on an orange line at back bay station. The fire was in the motor but Fire Fighters also tell us trash on the third rail which is electrified was ignited. Passengers began breaking doors and windows as you see here. The mbta says the doors didnt the train was away from the platform which prevented those doors from opening. A pastry chef was among 5 people treated for smoke inhalation. She describes how she used a knife to break a window. I took my scarf. This is my 8 inch chef knife and thats not a pastry knife. Thats a chef knife. I did this. Im a certified black belt. So and into the window. With it covered like that. With it covered. I didnt want to break my knife. 5 people were taken to the hospital including that pastry chef, excuse me. 2 were taken to the hospital. And the orange line has reopened at back bay.
