Academic content in Marathi is not as readily available as English content is, which can be accessed through the web on the go. In an effort to increase the knowledge pool for Marathi, Vimlabai Garware Prashala launched a web radio for Marathi-medium curriculum between classes V and VIII.
Anandi Patil, president of the school committee of
Maharashtra Education Society’s Vimlabai Garware Prashala, said, “There is scarce content online for Marathi medium students. Garware school has always worked in Marathi medium, thus we thought of coming up with Subodh Wani, a web radio which will give extra information about the curriculum and also engage students likewise. Apart from the curriculum, it will contain motivational videos and success stories.”
