Fatal industrial incident at Oregon winery investigated
Armando Aguilar-Yanez lost consciousness while performing cleaning duties at 12th and Maple Wine Company
A McMinnville man died at a Dundee winery in early February and the cause of his sudden death is under investigation by the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Armando Aguilar-Yanez, 39, was found unconscious by a coworker at the 12th and Maple Wine Company around 10:35 a.m. on Feb. 1, police say, as he was performing cleaning duties in the facility. The Dundee Fire Department, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and the Newberg-Dundee Police Department responded to the scene. Employees at the location discovered one of their co-workers unconscious and unresponsive in the manufacturing area of the building, NDPD public information officer Brian Hagen said. The victim had been performing some cleaning duties and lost consciousness at that time. CPR and other life-saving measures were attemp
