Five more Nobles County residents test positive for COVID-19

Meanwhile, Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Pipestone and Rock counties each recorded one new case. Statewide, there were 996 new cases reported during the one-day period, bringing the state’s cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases to 481,831 (positive and antigen tests), with 468,498 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 37,580 Minnesota health care workers have contracted the virus. Seven new deaths were also reported during the one-day period, including three individuals who resided in private residences and four individuals who resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities. Minnesota’s death toll from the virus now stands at 6,450, including 4,044 residents of long-term care facilities.
