Throughout the Portland region, people reacted with shock, anger and disbelief as news came midday Wednesday, Jan. 6, that an angry mob had stormed the U.S. Capitol. Heather A. Her first reaction upon hearing the news was to remind herself that Jan. 6 is Epiphany, a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ. Today s the Epiphany! That s when Christians traditionally bless their homes! And celebrate our Lord, right? And the people s house is in shambles and under siege. It s just so sad to me. That we could be in such a state of disarray. It s the siege of our house!
