Hon Seth Acheampong Determined To End Chieftaincy Issues In E/R Region

  The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong has paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Nene Sakite II, the Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Council and the President of Eastern Regional House of Chiefs at his Palace in Odumase on Friday 9th April 2021. The visit was to formally introduce himself as the newly appointed Regional Minister for the Eastern Region and to solicit support and cooperation from His Royal Majesty Nene Sakite II, his Elders and the people of Kroboland. In his remarks, the Hon. Seth Acheampong appealed to his Royal Majesty to thank the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for trust reposed in him to represent him as the Eastern Regional Minister whenever the opportunity availed itself.

Cardinal Elijah Tetteh who believes that sanitation offenders must be punished for such offences, however, says most of them may be ignorant of the repercussions of their actions and may hence need to be enlightened on the need to be clean. The lawyer was speaking at the inauguration of the Messiach Sanitation and Cleaning Services at Agomanya in the Eastern Region. “Those who will offend the law must first be educated and after the education given to them and they still commit such crime, then such people should be punished,” he said.

Sipim Narh Terkpertey II joins calls for safe driving during yuletide, peace after elections Nene Sipim Narh Terkpertey II of Manya Aklomuase in the Manya Krobo Traditional Area of the Eastern Region has joined calls for drivers to take extra care on the roads during the Christmas season and beyond. He said though various stakeholders continued to play their respective parts in awareness campaigns in highlighting the dangers of speeding and drunk driving, the onus was now on individual drivers to be cautious. The chief observed that by being cautious, drivers could help reduce the number of accidents, adding that drivers must strictly adhere to all road safety requirements and regulations to curtail road crashes in the country before, during, and after the Christmas festivities.
