Reviewed by Tony Cummings Intriguingly, the Crew are now down to one. Producer, songwriter Manwell Reyes has decided to carry on with Group 1 Crew even though Blanca left to have a baby and has now gone solo. Manwell is now bringing in guest singers and rappers for recording and gigging (despite what Wikipedia says, Sarah Sandoz is not a replacement for Blanca though she does sing on Psalm 23 here). Overcoming the problems of an ever-decreasing personnel, Manwell here offers some of his most invigorating tracks for quite awhile. The Wonder Years featuring Mariah Peters and Glory is an effervescent pop R&B concoction while Heaven featuring mixmaster Jonathan Thulin and Every Day Is A Miracle with that seriously underrated singer Rachael Lampa are both well up to standard on this five-song EP. EP number two is already recorded so expect more soon from the seriously talented Mr Reyes.
