Armenia s Kajaran mayor arrested for two months
Mayor of Armenia s Kajaran community Manvel Paramazyan has been arrested for two months after Yerevan court of general jurisdiction upheld the petition to arrest him.
On July 8 the head of the community was transported to Armenia s NSS Investigative Department from Kajaran.
Paramazyan is charged under three articles of the Criminal Code.
His lawyer Lusine Sahakyan said the mayor does not admit the charges and describes the developments as part of the chain of political persecutions against him.
