The Amarillo City Council approved the second reading of a rezoning ordinance during Tuesday s virtual regular session to change from Light Industrial District to Manufactured Home District. City council members adopted Ordinance 7899 in the vicinity of North Forest Street and NW 12th Avenue with a 4-1 vote. The applicant is requesting the rezone from Light Industrial I to Manufactured Home District, with the intent of developing a combination of manufactured homes and single-family homes, Andrew Freeman, the city s managing director of Planning and Development Services, said, noting the applicant is Josh Langham with Llano Construction Company, LLC.
Per Freeman, the adjacent land uses include vacant land to the north and east, the Amarillo Area Center for Advanced Learning to the south and various commercial and vacant land to the west.
