and so many others. reporter: as he long threatened, trump rehashed old clinton controversies. bringing to the debate three women who accused bill clinton of sexual misconduct in the 1990s. if you look at bill clinton, far worse. mine are words, his were action. i am reminded of what my friend, michelle obama, reminded us all. when they go low, you go high. reporter: trump in an extraordinary remark threatening to jail clinton if he becomes president over her handling of classified material on her private e-mail server as secretary of state. if i win, i am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation. it s just awfully good that someone with the temperament of donald trump is not in charge of the law in our country. because you d be in jail. reporter: trump frequently interrupting clinton throughout the heated exchange.
