+ January 15, 2021 MANDAUEHANONS can now enjoy a longer time for market day as the schedule of market operations has been modified and the barricades around the market have been removed.
On Jan. 7, 2021, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes issued Executive Order (EO) 1, series of 2021, amending EO 71, series of 2020 on the removal of barricades, and EO 83-A, series of 2020 on the schedule of operations of the Mandaue City Public Market.
January 14, 2021 BOTH the Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu City Governments are confident of clearing all public roads of obstructions by Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, the deadline for the completion of the second round of road clearing operations (RCO 2.0).
Edwin Jumao-as, head of the Mandaue City Enforcement Unit (MCEU), reported an accomplishment rate of 80 percent as of Wednesday, Jan. 13.
“We have not checked the national and city roads yet because we have been focusing on barangay roads,” he said.
He said they aim to surpass their 89 percent accomplishment rate in the first round of road clearing operations in 2019. The City is scheduled for evaluation by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Jan. 18 to 22.
