MUMBAI: The city police commissioner on Monday invoking special powers dismissed police constable Vinayak Shinde from services.
He is the third cop to be arrested and dismissed in the alleged murder of Scorpio car owner Mansuk Hiran. Shinde was already convicted to life imprisonment in the murder of Chhota Rajan aide Lakhan bhaiyya in 2013 yet was not dismissed for the reason best known to the department.
Last week inspector(API) Riyazuddin Kazi, who was arrested along with his colleague Sachin Waze in the alleged planting of gelatines in a Scorpio near industrialist Mukesh Ambani s bungalow and subsequent murder of the vehicle owner Mansukh Hiran, was dismissed. Sources said that now next in turn is inspector Sunil Mane who was also arrested by the NIA in the same case.
