One man has been taken to hospital
Fire crews have rescued a man, woman and cat from a house fire in Carlton.
Firefighters from four Nottinghamshire stations are dealing with the fire in Chesterfield Street, which was reported shortly after 12noon today (Thursday, April 22).
A man and woman along with a cat have been rescued from the property, and the man has been taken to hospital.
Other emergency services are also attending.
Witnesses at the scene have described a horrendous smell of burning.
A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: Fire crews from Carlton, Arnold, London Road and Mansfield Fire Station are currently in attendance at a house fire on Chesterfield Street, Carlton following a call at 12:05pm today.
