A SHIPBUILDING firm in Portland has appointed its new boss. Manor Marine, in Castletown has appointed Leif Cooper as its new managing director following several years as operations director within the company. During his time at Manor Marine, Mr Cooper has managed several high-profile projects, including the build of the Manor Endurance and the launch of the Manor Initiative and Manor Enterprise for Manor Renewable Energy. Mr Cooper said: The manufacturing industry faces many new obstacles, especially the workforce as it adapts to restricted operations due to Covid-19 regulations. I m confident with the team we have in place at Manor Marine, we re ready to face these new challenges and deliver quality vessels and engineering services safely to our clients.
