The victim, who is in his 20s, suffered two puncture wounds during the incident on Hemlock Close in the early hours of Saturday, April 24. He remains in hospital in a stable condition. William Macdonald, of Silkstone Crescent, was arrested in the Manor Farm Mews area of the town in connection with the attack at around 10am yesterday, Monday. And the 23-year-old has since been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
