Mumbai: A massive fire broke out at a godown in Mankhurd area of Mumbai, Maharashtra on Friday afternoon. As many as 19 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire. As per reports, no casualty has been reported in the incident so far.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place at around 2:30 pm.
A fire officer (40-year-old Harish Nadkar) has been injured during the operation to douse the fire. His condition has said to be stable.
The fire resulted in thick plumes of smoke coming out of the scrap yard. Thirteen fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot. The fire engines are trying to douse the fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The fire was brought under control by 9:15 pm.

In another incident in the city earlier this week, a major fire broke out in the sets of Om Raut s upcoming film Adipurush in Goregaon on Tuesday evening. Officials declared it as a Level-2 fire. Also, no injuries were reported in the incident.
