“The frequent transfer of Special Commissioner (Administration) causes problems for the employees. It delays the process of conducting departmental inquiries and submission of inquiry reports on employees placed under suspension. Two police officials have also been suspended in connection with the case,they said.
Among those arrested are Raghavendra Reddy, one of the two partners of the quarry.
He was arrested from Anantapur district of
Andhra Pradesh. Others arrested are said to be employees linked to the quarry.
They are- Venkatashiva Reddy, Praveen, Mohammed Riyaz Ansari (driver) and
Madhusudan Reddy, police said. GS Nagaraj, another partner of the quarry, is still on the run, and police are looking for him.

We simply cannot wish away mafia. There are so many of them, active in areas which affect each one of us deeply. Urban Development Department (BBMP) undersecretary Lakshmisagar N K issued an order on February 5 allowing Mohammed Likhayat Ali to continue working at the BBMP for two more years or till further orders.
