Our Correspondent Imphal, Nov. 11 (EMN): The X Polo Club, Wangkhei, emerged as the champions of the 36th edition of the N Hazari and Dr. N Tombi State Polo Tournament, 2022, in the final match played at the Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal town, on Friday. In the final match of the state’s biggest polo tournament, X Polo Club Wangkhei (Imphal East district) defeated Tekcham Polo Club Tekcham (Thoubal district) 7-6. The champion team received cash prize of INR 50,000 along with trophy while the runner-up team won INR 40,000 and trophy. The prizes to the winning teams were awarded by the additional chief secretary, P Vaiphei, while the teams also received T-shirts from director of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Ibotombi.
