Our Correspondent Imphal, June 23 (EMN): Manipur Cabinet on Wednesday resolved to adopt 1961 as base year to determine the “native” status for implementation of Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in the North-eastern border state. According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal, Chief Minister N Biren Singh chaired the cabinet meeting wherein the Manipur State Vision Document 2047, which aims to make the state a vibrant, carbon-neutral and economically, socially and ecologically sustainable state in the next 25 years, was presented. It may be mentioned that Manipur started to implement the ILP system from January 1, 2020 after the government notified the extension of the ILP regime in December 2019.
