A 24-year-old man, identified as Oinam Kenegy, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, a police officer said. The other injured person is undergoing treatment at a hospital and his condition is stated to be serious.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Md. Noor Hussain in connection with a bomb blast in Manipur. The blast occurred on June 21, damaging a bridge and nearby houses. Three people were injured. The NIA has also recently arrested another individual, Seiminlun Gangte, in a case related to a transnational conspiracy by terrorist groups from Myanmar and Bangladesh to wage war against the Indian government.
According to the NIA, the accused, Md. Noor Hussain, was arrested in Assam’s Silchar, Cachar district, Monday in a joint operation of the Assam Police and intelligence agencies.
