Bangalore Mirror had written on July 7, 2023, about the problems commuters face on this road. Then on October 17, 2023, we had pointed out how temporary measures taken to fill up potholes and craters had become useless within two months.
However, now they are finding it tough to commute on this road. With the mud and material used for filling the potholes and the craters washed away due to the rain, the potholes and craters have surfaced again, thus making commuting on this road a herculean task.
Residents have expressed their frustration, stating that the road was asphalted many years ago, but the Jigani Panchayat and Hulimangala Panchayat authorities have failed to take measures to maintain it. Despite the road falling within the Bengaluru South Assembly constituency, it does not come under the jurisdiction of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
