He served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty before the interim appointment.
Rusiloski will fill in for outgoing university President Maria Gallo, who is leaving to become chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Gallo s last day is July 15.
Rusiloski is now charged with leading a campus with more than 2,300 students as the president search continues. This institution has excellent faculty and staff who are personally invested in the success of each student, said Rusiloski.
