KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) today announced that it is considering a licensing and regulatory framework to address online.
MCMC said it wants to address the imbalance of advertising income between digital platforms and local news media. It is considering to adopt regulatory frameworks to make Google and Meta compensate local media outlets.
