Al Remling died Saturday at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was 83.
Jack Klaus, who served as the Manchester Chamber Director during that time in 2009, says when the opportunity came up for the community to save Castle Theatre from closing, Remling was the one who stepped up to lead the effort.
Along with his leadership at Castle Theatre, Remling was a well-known volunteer throughout the community – he served as the local coordinator for the Manchester Red Cross blood drives and he volunteered with the United Methodist Church and the Boy Scouts of America.
Remling was also one of our very first recipients of our Valued Volunteer Award on KMCH.
