Davao City classified as COVID low-risk area

Published April 6, 2021, 1:51 PM DAVAO CITY – From the minimum risk classification last week, Davao City has now been classified as low risk area for COVID-19 by the National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases. The low risk classification is based on two indicators – the low 2-Week Growth Rate (2WGR) and the Average Daily Attack Rate (ADAR). “Last week, Davao City was classified as minimum risk, now it is at low risk. This is because we have a negative 8.74 two-week growth rate (2WGR) which is still low but our average daily attack rate (ADAR) reached one, from .92 last week,” said Dr. Ashley Lopez, acting head of the City Health Office (CHO) and focal person of the Davao City COVID-19 Task Force.
