The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District, the Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department and the Brainerd Rotary Club are again using goats instead of herbicides to manage the European buckthorn at Rotary Riverside Park by letting the animals eat the invasive species.

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District will sell plants, trees and other items next month that can be picked up at the county fairgrounds.

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District will host the 22nd Landowner Tree Sale pickup at the public safety building at the county fairgrounds in Brainerd.
All plants, trees and other items must be picked up between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 6 or May 7 from the fairgrounds along Southeast 13th Street or County Highway 45, and Madison Street. Motorists are asked to remain in their vehicles due to COVID-19 precautions.
