Lompoc Council OKs Sending Letter About Ag Land Fans to Santa Barbara County

Housing and Development Newsletter Brummer said the opponents have hired an attorney, Phil Sinco of Santa Maria, who contended the noisy equipment is not protected under “right to farm laws” for a number of reasons. The petition suggests the grower should use hoop houses or quiet turbofans to avoid disturbing residents. It also calls for the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors “to do whatever is necessary to immediately stop noisy propeller type wind machines from being used on farmland adjacent Purisima and Rucker Roads.  “Also we request that county ordinances be amended to prevent this noisy propeller type of wind machine from being placed within one mile of any residential development,” the petition states.
