Veterans repurpose monument to honor POWsReenactment of flag raising at Iwo Jima planned

Belfast Members of Randall Collins Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3108 will reenact the flag-raising at Iwo Jima Thursday, May 27, at a repurposed monument honoring veterans who were prisoners of war or missing in action on the corner of Footbridge Road and Route 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m., as part of the post s Memorial Day observances. The public is invited to attend.
