Cullum McGough, who was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Gardiner-area school board in 2021, was chosen again Wednesday to fill a different school board vacancy as elected officials opted to delay filling the vacant City Council seat.
Gardiner officials are planning to take a look at the age and condition of existing city facilities and assess their needs for coming years as part of a facility planning process that gets underway this month.
The proposed 4% increase is expected to raise about $52,000 during this fiscal year, which would help pay expected higher costs during the fiscal year that started a week ago, and allow the Wastewater Department to start saving toward the next phase of its system upgrades.
