MANITOBA, Canada Toronto FC announced today that the club has officially signed Jamaican international left-back Kemar Lawrence from Belgian side Anderlecht. The deal will run through 2024.

“We are very excited about Kemar joining the club,” said Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis via a press release. “He’s a fearless competitor, he has experience, and he immediately makes our team better. Kemar is a lockdown wingback, and we are excited to get him going. Looking forward to he and his family planting roots in Orlando, and then Toronto. Very excited for Kemar to join is an understatement.”

TORONTO, Canada In a jam-packed Toronto FC midfield, it looks as though Liam Fraser may be the odd one out. The Canadian international is being loaned out to the defending MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew SC in exchange for $50,000 in General Allocation Money, Toronto FC announced Monday morning.
“Liam is a talented young player with an incredible work ethic,” said Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis in a press release. “Development can occur in multiple ways, and we are happy that this presents a solution for Liam to potentially get meaningful first team minutes, and at the same time stay connected to TFC.”

MANITOBA, Canada On Tuesday, Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis was out wheelin’ and dealin’ and acquired $225,000 in General Allocation Money from FC Dallas in exchange for an international roster spot.
This gives TFC some more room under the salary cap for Curtis and TFC President Bill Manning to make the moves they deem necessary to put this squad in a position to realize the immense potential it has. But what moves would be most sensible for the club to make?

TORONTO, Canada As the team gets set to open up the 2021 Major League Soccer campaign Saturday vs. CF Montreal, Toronto FC have announced that they have signed centre-back Luke Singh to a first-team contract for real this time.
“Luke is a talented young player, and we are excited to add him to the first team. He joined our club beginning with the academy, and then he progressed to TFC II. We began to integrate him more into the first team last year, and then this preseason he truly earned his MLS contract,” said Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis in a press release. “His training and also performances in Concacaf Champions League were excellent. He has a bright future, and we are looking forward to his continued development.”

Former New York Red Bulls’ manager Chris Armas has been appointed the club’s next head coach, the club announced Wednesday afternoon.
“I could not be more excited to join a club with Toronto FC’s level of excellence and winning tradition and I will work tirelessly to uphold those standards,” said the newly-appointed Toronto FC Head Coach Chris Armas in a press release. “I’m grateful to Mr. Tanenbaum and to Bill Manning and Ali Curtis for their belief in me and for giving me this opportunity. As an opposing coach I felt the passion the fans and supporters bring to BMO Field. It is next level. I can’t wait to put a team on the field that will not only make them proud with the way we play, but also with the way we run, battle and compete every minute of every game.”
