IBM has appointed Martin Schroeter as CEO of NewCo, the multibillion-dollar managed services business expected to be officially spun-off by the end of 2021.
Effective 15 January, Schroeter is tasked with shaping the go-to-market strategy of Big Blue’s Managed Infrastructure Services division, which will focus on the management and modernisation of IT infrastructure across the world.
The new-look business houses approximately 90,000 employees with more than 4600 clients spanning 115 countries - including over 75 per cent of the
Fortune 100 - and a backlog of $60 billion in orders, which is more than twice the scale of nearest competitors such as Accenture, Fujitsu and Huawei.

ARMONK (dpa-AFX) - IBM (IBM) has appointed Martin Schroeter as Chief Executive Officer of the independent company that will be created following the separation of the company s Managed Infrastructure Services business, effective January 15. Schroeter served as IBM s Senior Vice President, Global Markets. He was the company s CFO from 2014 to 2017.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Arvind Krishna, acknowledged as the architect behind the 2019 acquisition of Red Hat for $32 billion, will be IBM’s next chair.
The IBM board disclosed the selection of Krishna, 58, as the replacement for Ginni Rometty, whose retirement at month’s end had been previously disclosed. The news came in a securities filing Wednesday evening after the markets closed.
Krishna, who joined IBM in 1990, was named CEO in April to replace Rometty.
IBM’s board of directors appointed CEO Arvind Krishna as its chairman, taking over from executive chairman and former chief executive Ginni Rometty, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Prediction #11: Apple Bundles Some of its Content Services And Maybe Other Things as Well

Apple (AAPL) unveiled its Apple One bundles in September, and launched them near the end of October. They re priced between $15/month to $30/month, and bundle Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud storage and (in the case of the $30/month Premier plan) Apple s News+ and Fitness+ services.
