EDMOND, Okla. -
A Chicago man led police on a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning ending in a crash that narrowly missed the Edmond library.
Bertrum Anderson was taken into custody following the chase.
Logan County Sheriff Damon Deveraux told News 9 a vehicle was reported stolen from The Commons Apartments on the campus of Langston University around 1 a.m.
“Our guys start making their ways to the interstate and some escape routes if you will where we think they may go,” Deveraux said.
Deputies spotted Anderson on Interstate 35 and pulled him over, but he quickly put the vehicle into gear and fled southbound at speeds over 100 mph.
