An ezpass thats improperly mounted or the credit card connected to it is expired, that driver could run up tolls, fees and fines into the tens of thousands of dollars before he even knows he missed a toll. Today a Circuit Court judge questioned the constitutionality of that tolling system. Take a close look at this summons. The unpaid toll is only 1. 10. The civil penalty is 1,000, nearly 1,000 times the toll. The summons is one of 11 tony cooley received when her transponder was improperly mounted right after the 495 express lanes opened in 2012. Metro is declining at this point to release the officers name, but it says she is a 10 year veteran of the Metro Transit Police. Metro put her on paid administrative leave, standard procedure for shooting incidents. D. C. This afternoon trying to answer questions about the schools investigation into a student who sent a shockingly racist and frightingly sexist email to Fraternity Brothers, that e mail over a year old but has just come to light. Reporter im scott broom at university of maryland where president wallace loh is refusing to be interviewed about this. Instead he took to twitter this afternoon to say, the utter disregard for decency, the mindless disparaging of Sexual Consent has left me angry and pro foundly saddened. The offensive email was sent 14 months ago to members of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity telling brothers not to invite certain minority guests to a function and no one at the frat house would talk about this today, but the member behind the e mail has resigned. Students from a anybodying fraternity condemned from a neighboring fraternity condemned the email.
