The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Cebu Port Authority (CPA) conducted the rebidding after the first two biddings went unsuccessful.
At least three construction firms and a joint venture participated in the rebidding for the port project. The port will rise on a 40-hectare area in Barangay Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu.
According to CPA, bidders were F. Gurrea Construction Inc., Hi-tone Construction and Development Corp., Premium Megastructures Inc., and RCDG Construction Corp./BSP & Company Inc./Grat Swiss Metal Builders Corp. Joint Venture.
“The lowest eligible and responsive bidder will have to conduct demolition of existing dilapidated pier and will conduct a New Roro Port Facility at port San Fernando, Cebu,” the CPA said in a statement.
