Wednesday, December 23, 2020 8:00 am Our mother Helen Victoria Weeks-Nichols was born on June 4, 1919, in Houstonville, to Albert and Estelle Weeks. She lived most of her life happily in the picturesque city of Fairhope, Alabama. She was a devoted wife for 50 years to her husband Douglas Leo Nichols and a wonderful mother of five children. “Mama” or “Mama Helen” as many affectionately called her, was not afraid of hard work and could do just about anything from gardening to baking and so much more. One of her many talents was sewing and many are recipients of the clothes, wedding dresses, and Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls. Mama always loved to read and her favorite book was the Bible. Early into her marriage she studied the Bible with one of Jehovah s Witnesses and was thoroughly excited to find the answers to many questions she had wondered about for years. In 1941, she was baptized as one of Jehovah s Witnesses. She worked tirelessly sharing with others the many
