A decommissioned Hercules C 130 from the Argentine Air Force and which was involved in combat, transport, surveillance, and supply operations during the Falkland Islands war has arrived at Pilar, a city in the province of Buenos Aires, where there is a monument to the fallen during the 1982 conflict.
Ambassadors from Chile and Nicaragua in Argentina visited the province of Tierra del Fuego where they were awarded medals commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Malvinas Feat, and were congratulated for their respective governments unrelenting support to the Malvinas Cause.
The municipality of the Rio Grande, Tierra del Fuego province, together with the local branch of the Malvinas Veterans have organized an agenda of activities, with an open invitation to all residents from the province and former combatants from the 1982 Falklands war.
A Malvina s time capsule with letters, artifacts, memorabilia, plus testimonies from Veterans and families is being organized by Ushuaia Veterans with the support from the Tierra del Fuego capital government as part of the 40th Anniversary of the Malvinas Feat.
The City of Ushuaia has a logo and crest that will represent all activities organized by the city during next year when the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Malvina s war feat. The institutional image of the anniversary was circulated among some 67,000 residents and neighbours of the city, and finally, some 2,600 voted on the three images that were presented as options.
