Facebook’s head of unscripted Toby Faulkner has joined Discovery+ as senior vice president of content.
Faulkner (pictured) will focus on partnering with all the network teams on Discovery+ Originals. He joins Discovery+ content leadership on Lisa Holme‘s team: Igal Svet for documentaries, Tom Lofthouse for multi-platform content, and Tatiana Olsak for acquisitions and international/co-productions.
Faulkner joins the streamer April 28 and will be based in Los Angeles, reporting to Holme, group SVP of content and commercial strategy at Discovery

Growing up in the small English seaside town of Clacton, as an only child to working-class parents, Toby was curious, self-reliant, and, some could say, extra British. Even though Essex is known as the Jersey Shore of the U.K., somehow, Toby missed the gym-tan-laundry memo.
