Man raped girl in campaign of sexual abuse starting when she was six years old

A man raped and sexually abused a child over a period of eight years, a court has heard.
Michael Whilding, 65, subjected his victim to a campaign of sexual abuse and sexual violence when she was as young as six years old.
In total Whilding, of Mallory Close, St Athan, was convicted of 35 counts including two count of rape, two counts of attempted rape, indecent assault, and indecency with a child following a trial heard in March. The defendant had denied all the allegations.
His licence was endorsed with six points.
PAUL MATTHEW TAYLOR, 37, of Barry Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving through a red light. His licence was endorsed with three points.
ANDREW JAMES COBURN, 34, of Hunter Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 47 mph in a 30mph zone in Rumney, Cardiff. His licence was endorsed with three points.
STEVEN FELLOWS, 72, of Higher End, St Athan, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without wearing a seat belt.
JENNA BAILEY, 36, of Ramsey Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £164 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West in Cardiff.

ANDREW KEITH RUMBELOW, 40, of Port Road, Rhoose, was jailed for nine weeks after he admitted being drunk and disorderly, failing to surrender and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order for assault by beating and criminal damage.
JAMES KIDDIE, 24, of Wessex Place, Barry, was ordered to pay £400 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance. His driving record was endorsed with six points.
MICHAEL SZEFLER, 31, of Vere Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.
