The number of deaths has been validated as typhoon-related by the RDRRMC: three from Saint Bernard town, and one each in the towns of Malitbog, Limasawa, Macrohon, Tomas Oppus, Padre Burgos, and Maasin City. Governor Damian Mercado issued the declaration on Monday to hasten the rescue, relief, recovery, and rehabilitation efforts of the provincial government and ensure the provision of basic services.
