2 gangsters held

Islamabad: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police has arrested two members of a criminal gang and recovered two stolen motorbikes, mobile phones and weapons from them, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) had issued directions to all zonal officers, SP Investigation for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities. Following these directions, SP (Investigation) Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted police team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Inspector Abdul Gahfoor along with others. This team succeeded to arrest two members of a gang identified as Dansih Javed Bhatti s/o Javed Bahtti resident of Zia Masjad Islamabad and Ghanzafar Haroon s/o Haroon Messiah resident of Iqbal Town Islamabad involved in snatching incidents in areas of Khanna.
IGP reviews annual performance of two wings of police

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar on Tuesday reviewed the annual performance of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and Anti-Car Lifting Cell of Islamabad police and directed for effective measures to eradicate crime from the city.
According to details, a meeting presided over by IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar was held to review crime situation in Islamabad and annual performance of CIA and ACLC.
The meeting was attended among others by DIG (Operations), AIG (General), AIG (Special Branch), SSP (CTD), Zonal SPs, SDPO Ramana (Saddar Circle), SHOs of Golra and Ramana police stations and Inspectors as well as Sub-Inspectors of CIA.

Police in the federal capital on Friday claimed to have busted a gang of criminals, apprehending its ringleader and recovered stolen cash and other valuable items from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that Inspector General (IGP) of Islamabad Police Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had directed a crackdown against street criminals. Subsequently, DIG-Operations Waqaruddin Syed directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb crime in the city. As a result, Saddar Zone SP Sarfraz Virk and Investigation SP Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a special team under the supervision of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) DSP Hakim Khan and DSP Zulfiqar Ahmed, along with SI Zafar Iqbal, ASI Safdar, Fayyaz Ahmed, Mohsin Ali and others from the Shalimar police station.
