The Rizvia Police claimed on Saturday to have arrested three robbers involved the first bank heist reported in Karachi this year and seized two pistols, six mobile phones and cash worth Rs160,000 from them.
The suspects are accused of robbing Rs1.35 million from a private bank in North Karachi on March 12, 2021.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed four robbers, carrying pistols and repeaters, barging into the bank and holding people hostage at gunpoint.
When a security guard showed resistance, they hit him on the head with the grip of a pistol and fired gunshots into the air.
Farmers, residents hold rally against Lahore’s Ravi project

LAHORE: A large number of farmers, residents and industrialists affected by Ravi Riverfront Project staged a protest at Shahdara Chowk here on Monday.
The protesters blocked the main interchange causing a traffic jam for hours on various city roads. Following the traffic jam, CTO visited the Ravi Bridge and passed directions to his team to divert the traffic.
The protesters called the Ravi Riverfront project a robbery of public rights and termed it the death of farmers and area residents. They also chanted slogans against the Punjab government and the Rive Urban Development Authority (RUDA). They were also displaying banners and placards against the project. Addressing the gathering, Mian Mustafa Rashid, convener of Farmers and Victims Committee, alleged that the government had made people fool regarding this project and showed them false dreams at an inauguration ceremony of the project.
Kabul: 5 Killed in Criminal Incidents Within 24 Hours
Five people, including a doctor, were killed in criminal incidents within the last 24 hours, according to figures gathered by TOLOnews.
One of those killed was Paghman elder Malik Murtaza, whose two bodyguards were also killed in an attack by armed men in Kabul’s Qargha area on Sunday evening. His family called on the government to find the perpetrators.
Unidentified armed men attacked Malik Murtaza’s vehicle in the west of Kabul.
“They will kill my other son the next day, and another the coming day. What should we do? We cannot do anything to them. The government can,” said Bibi Aqila, Malik Murtaza’s mother.
