INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) A man sought in connection to a quadruple homicide and a missing infant was taken into custody on Sunday evening, after an hourslong standoff.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department around 2 p.m. received a call with a lead in the investigation into the deaths of four people, including a child, found shot Saturday night in a home on Randolph Street, Officer Genae Cook said.
That tip led them to the 6200 block of Eastridge Drive that’s near 10th and Arlington on the east side –where they tried for three to four hours to get Malik Halfacre, 25, to come out of a home. Police found the man in the attic of the home and he was not armed. He was taken to meet with detectives, according to Cook. Police on Sunday evening said the relationship between Malik Halfacre and the people who live in the home on Eastridge Drive was not clear.
