The TTPS netted the two estate constables whose main duties who include patrolling, maintaining access control and handling traffic flow for the port or industrial estate in question during an anti-crime exercise that ran from 10 p.m. on May 15 to 2:40 a.m. on May 16.
Newsday, Marcelle and Biggart both worked with the Airport Authority at Crown Point International Airport.
Marcelle was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his Tobago home, where they reportedly discovered a white Styrofoam icebox. The icebox housed six rectangular objects, each containing some weed for a total of 4.6 kilograms.
Beyond the cannabis, the TTPS alleges that officers also found a black plastic bag with eight rounds of ammunition and a tin of pepper spray. The suspect was immediately arrested and later charged.
