The usage of
condoms in
Bengaluru city has gone up by 2.5 times in the last five years. According to the statistics released by the National Family Health Survey (NFHS)-5, condom usage in the city during NFHS-4 (2015-16) was 3.6 per cent and it has now gone up to 9.1 per cent. In
Karnataka, it was 6 per cent in NFHS-5 compared to 2.9 per cent in NFHS-4 and in rural areas it has jumped from 1.3 per cent to 4.1 per cent.
