大馬疫情延燒，當局自6月開始實施全面封鎖，至今仍未見疫情明顯好轉。9日起連續3天單日新增確診人數都超過9000人，12日雖降至8500多，13日卻新增1萬1079人確診；其中，全國工業化程度最高的雪蘭莪州（Selangor）佔了約一半以上的病例。
同時，位於雪蘭莪州沙亞南會展中心（IDCC）的疫苗接種中心竟傳出204名員工確診，13日關閉進行消毒。當局將重新換上一批新的工作人員，讓民眾14日起可前往接種疫苗。
馬來西亞累計確診案例為85萬5949例；另新增125起死亡病例，累計病故人數為6385人。
馬國目前有2779名醫護人員在完整接種2劑疫苗後被感染，但他們大部分是無症狀或症狀輕微。這些輕症或無症狀的確診者只在家隔離。
