67歲的災黎黃德娘及丈夫余宏共一家五口居住在雙溪布達多達40年，過去10餘年不時發生水災。自3年前起當地河道美化為峇株安南雙溪布達河岸休閒公園後，其中3個排水口的鐵閘卻不翼而飛，導致當地一旦下雨，河水倒灌淹入低窪區區的單位，導致水災一再發生。
黃德娘說，大約早上10時許，河水倒灌進入屋內，屋內的水位一度深達3尺半，甚至連冰箱都浮起來，家中三四人急忙搶救，避免冰箱飄走。
她說，過去3年，家人都不斷向政府部門投訴，要求增設排水口的鐵閘，避免河水倒灌，家裡一再發生大小水災，雖然甲州一再更改政權，有關投訴依然還是石沉大海。
除了該住家，其毗鄰的摩利支天母宮也淪為澤國，而一旁停放的多輛羅裡都浸泡在水中，至於雙溪布達的馬來甘榜也是成為水災區，約有10餘戶災黎受影響。
