Fairmont Kea Lani, in collaboration with the Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Voyaging Society, presents “Gathering of the Voyagers,” a three-day celebration of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, featuring voyagers, navigators, canoe builders and cultural practitioners.
Those crews' working conditions have come under scrutiny in recent years because they don't have legal U.S. standing and can't leave the pier when docked.
