As anne makovec reports, bart is shoring up contingency plans with the deadline 12 hours away. Anne. Reporter the bart board is meeting now. After that meeting negotiations will resume. We are 12 hours away from the deadline. The unions didnt give a 72 hour notice of intent to strike but they tonight have to give it. Thats a courtesy to passengers so theres still a very real possibility of a strike as soon as tomorrow mornings commute. The fact of the matter is it seems that the district is somewhat cavalier about the publics riding prospects. Reporter Union Workers came to air their frustrations this morning at a meeting of the bart board of directors as the clock ticks towards midnight. There may or may not be a strike.
