WARSAW, June 5 (Xinhua) Poland defeated Russia 3-1 in Rimini, Italy on Saturday for their third consecutive victory in the Volleyball Nations League. The world champions, widely considered favorites to take gold at the Tokyo Olympics, proved their quality again after a 3-0 win over the United States on Friday. It was the Sbornaya team who made the better start as Russia won the opening set 25-21. However, then Poland turned the game around as Vital Heynen s side started to control the match. They won two sets in a row with a 25-19 result and didn t allow Russia a way back into the game.
