MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – The Great Patriotic War is at the heart of the historical memory of Belarusians, analyst with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research (BISR) Svetlana Aleinikova said as she took part in the meeting of BelTA s Expert Community project to discuss the Great Patriotic War in the context of patriotic upbringing.

Belarus Council of the Republic passes bill to prevent Nazism rehabilitation

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – Members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus approved the bill to prevent the rehabilitation of Nazism at a meeting of the fifth session on 21 April, BelTA has learned.
“This bill is a part of the set of measures meant to nip such activities in the bud. Everyone should understand that in the current situation, manifestations of Nazism are an element of the war against the Republic of Belarus. It is called a hybrid or information war, but its main aim is to seize power and destroy independent Belarus,” Belarus Prosecutor General Andrei Shved said.
Belarus sustainable development strategy till 2035 discussed

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – A meeting of the Sustainable Development Council took place at the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly on 14 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper chamber of the parliament.
“The year 2020 is very important not only for Belarus in terms of implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, but also for the entire international community.
